Wtf just happened?
Ok so im mucho confused I afked fish in heidel and when i came back 8 hrs later i was still fishing... but in a different town that i did not even know existed / visited... what....
is it possible someone moved me or something 0.o but how was i still fishing and on the dock of the town like i was at the dock of heidel. #Confused...

someone might took you on a fishing trip if you are out of safezone. cus i know some people who take people that fish outside safezone to the other side of the world x)
thing is... i was inside the safe zone of hidel fishing on the pier there and when i logged in i was in some town iv never even set foot in before or new exsisted and i was fishing off the pier at that place... still fishing might i add...
If it's a pier that one of the NPC ships pass by there's a good chance it picked you up and took you with it. Had it happen many times where the edge of the large ship collisions takes you along and drops you wherever it's heading. :)

safezone or not someone can ride their boat into you and BAM your on their boat and they can take you anywhere and just logout and you drop where they logout
the town i was moved to was tarif down the river. i didnt even know i was there. thing is if somone moved me via boat they was perfect went placing me... i was on the pier fishing at hedil and then when i got on i was fishing off the pier at tarif i logged on and legit was flabbergasted i was like um.... where am i.... why am i here... im still fishing.. what?

The thing is, the NPC ship that goes from Heidel to Tarif does not actually carry people. I have tried. So I'm guessing it was a player.
OP: On the bright side, Tarif is a much better place to fish than Heidel.

A guildie was telling me how she and several other players were kidnapped while afk fishing in Velia near the shores and got dumped in the Ross Sea, where the compass and mini-map are disabled.
It took her hours to find her way back to land.
If you are stood close enough to the water someone can drive their boat into you.
You're very lucky they didn't drop you in the middle of Margoria, or even worse got you killed by mobs/sea monsters.

Deffinetely sounds like the work of a kind kidnapper. They could have left you in a far worse place. Scooping AFK players up onto a boat will not flag the assailant as an attacker. ........ as "sail" liant ... see what I did there? ... sorry you had to read that last bit .... Ok, I'll stop ....
but... no one is getting the biggest part here... i was still fishing... somone couldnt scoop me up and set me somewere else and id still be fishing....

Yep. In fact, you were probably finishing off the side of the boat the entire way to your new home. Being "bumped" on to a passing boat doesn't turn off auto-fishing as long as there is still water for you to drop your line into.
